.it Italy

Should you wish to register .it names with us or transfer .it names to our management, the Registry Operator, Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the National Research Council of Italy (“IT-Registro”), imposes certain conditions. As set out in our Terms and Conditions, by placing an order with us you unconditionally agree to be bound by these conditions. You agree and acknowledge the .it policies and conditions as set out below as applicable and as updated from time to time:

In registering a .it domain name, you acknowledge, agree and accept that:

  • the information provided by you in respect of your domain name registration refers to the Registrant and not to Registrar, Attorney or Representative of a person or entity that does not meet the registration requirements for such domain name;
  • Com Laude, as Registrar, is required to check, on the basis of the declarations made by each Registrant for which it registers the domain names, that a Registrant complies with the subjective requirements for the registration of domain names, as defined by the Regulations of the ccTLD .it, the SLD edu.it and the SLD gov.it;
  • the registration of .it domain names cannot take place anonymously, as this does not comply with the data processing policy implemented by IT-Registro, and that the obligations related to domain names are attributable to the person indicated as Registrant of the domain name; and
  • IT-Registro will process your personal data as set out at https://www.nic.it/en/find-your-it/privacy and you accept such processing as therein described.

In registering a .it domain name, you declare that:

  • the domain names requested do not affect, as far as you are aware, the rights of third parties;
  • you assume responsibility for the use of the domain names registered;
  • you take responsibility for keeping the personal information related to a .it domain name registration accurate, complete and up-to-date, both with Com Laude and with IT-Registro (through Com Laude); and
  • you will provide and ensure the correct operation and update of your email address in order to correctly receive official communications sent by IT-Registro and/or the PSRDs, i.e., the bodies accredited by IT-Registro for the alternative resolution of disputes relating to the reassignment of a domain name under the ccTLD .it. Such communications may substantially change the legal and technical status of the domain name.

It is possible to check the documents related to the registration, maintenance, and challenge of a specific .it domain. Please consult the page https://www.nic.it/en/find-your-it/privacy for relevant document access forms.
